Hope Township School is proud to announce Mrs. Tammy Green
as our Teacher of the Year for the 2003-2004 school year.
A graduate from East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education in Reading, Mrs. Green joined Hope School in 1991, as a second grade teacher. Since then, she has taught second grade, fifth thru eighth grade reading, and fifth and sixth grade language arts. Presently, she teaches first grade. Mrs. Green has also acted as an eighth grade advisor as well as an advisor for the Honor Society.
Mrs. Green’s classroom is always buzzing with activities. Her students have become "reading maniacs," as they call themselves! Mrs. Green has incorporated "reading buddies’ with the upper level students and her first grade. From dinosaurs to stories, one can see that learning in Mrs. Green’s classroom is a fun experience. It is obvious that Mrs. Green’s love of teaching is reflected in the enthusiasm of her students.
Mrs. Green resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, Rob and her three active daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, collecting Longaberger baskets, and adding to her large collection of children’s books. Between her family and teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Green doesn’t have much time for many hobbies, but she always finds time to read!
