Welcome to Hope Twp. Preschool
Teacher: Mrs. Amy Caputo
Aide: Mrs. Kathy Schutzki
Preschool is a time of new beginnings, of making friends, and of learning lots of new things each and every day. Our days and weeks will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities for learning and growing.
I can't wait to share all the fun activities Mrs. S and I have planned!
What should you bring to school?
Your folder (your child will get a personalized folder on the first day of school)
A healthy, brain energizing morning snack
An extra change of clothes (we will keep this in class- just in case)
An art smock (an old, adult button up shirt works great)
Please remember to label everything with your child's name.
What are our Specials?
We will have gym twice a week. Please wear sneakers on these days.
We will have music once a week to prepare for the Spring and Winter concerts.
We will be going to the Media Center to use the Computer Lab and begin learning about our library.
The bookmobile from the Warren County Library visits our class twice a month. The children are able to board the bookmobile and meet with the librarian. She helps them to pick out books that can be used in our classroom.
Do we collect Box Tops for Education?
Hope School does participate in Box Tops for Education. Please send any Box Tops into school and we will add them to our class collection.
How do we celebrate birthdays?
We love to celebrate birthdays! You may bring in a snack for the class to help celebrate your child's special day. Please email me what you are thinking about sending in so we can check it against school food policies and food allergies. Birthday party invitations can only go home through the school if there is an invitation for each student in the class.
Will we go outside?
We will go outside for playtime every day until it becomes too cold and yucky. Please dress your child appropriately so that they can enjoy the outdoors. If the weather is too cold or rainy, we will do alternative games in the classroom.
Can you bring in personal items/toys to school?
I know that students are always very excited to share something special from home with the class; however, sometimes things do get broken or misplaced during their time at school. Please discourage your children from bringing personal items to school other than on our Show and Tell days. Please see the Show and Tell link above for more information.
Please see the links above for more info about our classroom.
